It was beginning to become the norm for him. Endless nights that bore no sleep, just darkness.
It was the same nightmare he had been having for two years, and to believe that maybe one day it would stop seemed futile now. His dream was endless, and he always ended up drowning in darkness before waking in slight panic, clutching his throat.
This big, black thing swallowed me up ! I couldn’t breathe ! I c o u l d n ’ t….
Why did fear control his dreams when he had rid of his apprehension years ago ? Why is it that this nightmare still haunted his dreams ? Why couldn’t he ever find the ability to wake up ? There were so many questions, yet so little were able to be answered. With a divine blade summoned to his palm, he fought off Heartless as Darkness began to swallow his island whole.
He could stop it from happening… He could stop his world from disappearing. The same mistake would not be repeated.
Furiously did his blade swing to fend off such vile creatures as they crept from every angle they could.
I won’t lose them again… I won’t lose them !
Managing to clear out the surrounding area, the wielder figured he would move on, yet his steps were halted by some nonsensical yelling. Scowl graced his features alongside his blood lust, glare hopefully burning into the gaze of the offender.
❝ Get outta here ! It’s not safe ! ❞
What the hell was going on?! What in the world were those strange creatures – yellow hollow eyes that bored into hers and made her shiver in absolute fear. That was… Shaking her head, Evelyn’s breath caught on her throat upon turning to face the spiky-haired boy, eyes widening at his words, even though she was pretty sure he was just concerned over her safety. But that’s what made this girl totally different from the other ones, mind you. No, she won’t back away from danger, specially when someone’s life is on the line! Giving the one some sort of a smile before shouting again, the tiny one ran towards the "Yeah, right! Just calm down already!“ despite looking so calm, she was terrified. One wrong move and it was all over. But as someone who was a Guardian of all humans’ dreams, she should try!
She figured it would be easier for him if she just talked directly to him as in some way to calm the poor boy down before he hurts himself – as for her presence inside his mind made things a little too real than ever. So much for having unusual powers that led people experience their dreams to the fullest. Now how in the world was she going to reach him? Lips pressed in one firm line, she ran towards the Keyblade wielder, hand reaching to touch his shoulder, which ended up pulling the fabric of his coat, making him stop dead on his tracks. ”Scared much? Come on, Sora! I thought you were braver than this!“ a playful tone laced her voice, releasing her hold on his coat before moving to stand in front of him, her expression laced with concern and something one would tell as… Sadness?
”Yeah. Don’t you remember me? And you said you wouldn’t forget… That’s pretty cruel, y'know.“
